The Eleventh Annual
Fayetteville Chamber Music Festival
May 12-20, 2017

Håkan Rosengren Artistic Director

Fayetteville Chamber Music's 2016-2017 season culminated with
the Annual Fayetteville Chamber Music Festival over two weekends in May
at the Country Place Hotel on Fayetteville’s Historic Square.

Each May the Fayetteville Chamber Music Festival presents concerts in the Moravian Room at the Country Place Hotel in downtown historic Fayetteville, Texas. The audiences sit near the world-class musicians from New York, Hungary, Poland, Houston and Austin and experience the music close-up. The room has natural acoustics, bring a perfect warm, intimate sound to the musicians' violin, clarinet and piano. The repertoire includes classics by Brahms, Mozart, Beethoven, Czech favorites by Dvorak and Janacek, and Swedish pieces by Berwald, Netzel, and Stenhammar, among others.

The Festival began with a Friday night performance featuring Czech music in keeping with the local heritage. On Saturday there is was a 3pm matinee and an 8pm performance. The following weekend followed the same schedule.

After each concert, the musicians mingled with the audience, enjoying conversation, wine and, at some concerts, hors d'oevres. It is one of the great perks that comes with a small venue and the willingness of the musicians to interact with their audiences.
